A neighborhood stroll

Riley and I head out for a walk almost every night after dinner, provided the weather agrees with it. It's so much fun to see her explore the sidewalks, marvel at the flowers and collect little pebbles and carefully store them in her pocket. I took the camera along for one of these walks. And, as any parent of a 19 month old knows, no walk is complete without a minor meltdown.

When the weather is nice, we often stop off at the park to let Miss Yaya burn some energy. On this particular day, Mama Nita and Shawnee were with us, which added some extra hands to catch Riley when she tried to walk off the ledges or run down the slide rather than sit and slide.
